What they need

Multi Sports Coach

Fiesta Sports Coaching | £10.58–£18 per hour | Park Time | Bank Hours | Term-Time | School Holidays

Are you a qualified sports coach who is passionate about inspiring children?

Do you have a recognised National Governing Body (NGB) coaching qualification, love delivering great sports sessions and want to make a real difference to children's confidence, skills and enjoyment of being active?

Fiesta Sports Coaching is looking for passionate, enthusiastic and reliable Sports Coaches to join and support our growing team.

This role is primarily focused on delivering after-school sports clubs, followed by supporting our Fiesta Kids+ Wraparound provision.

We're looking for coaches who bring more than just technical knowledge. We want people who bring energy, creativity, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for helping children discover what they enjoy.

The Role

Your main responsibility will be to deliver high-quality after-school extracurricular sports clubs within primary schools.

Our clubs are designed to be more than simply an opportunity to play sport. We want every child to feel safe, included and inspired to take part, while developing their physical skills, confidence, teamwork, communication and positive social and emotional skills.

Our programme includes a wide range of sports, physical activities and games, which may include, but are not limited to:

  • Football
  • Dance
  • Gymnastics
  • Multi-Sports
  • Dodgeball
  • Basketball
  • Cricket
  • Athletics
  • Tennis
  • Other sports, activities and games

For some children, our club may be their first experience of a particular sport or activity, so we want coaches who can make that first experience fun, welcoming and memorable, encouraging children to want to come back and keep participating.

You'll need to be able to engage children of different ages and abilities, create a positive atmosphere and deliver sessions with a clear theme, purpose and progression. We want coaches who think about what children will learn, how they will develop and, most importantly, how to make every session an enjoyable experience.

You'll work with children aged 4–11, adapting your coaching to different ages, abilities, confidence levels and needs.

From Sports Coaching to Kids+ Wraparound

Following the sports club, you'll have the opportunity to become involved in Fiesta Kids+ Wraparound.

Kids+ is about going beyond traditional childcare. We aim to provide a safe, nurturing and consistent environment where children can relax, have fun, build independence and discover new interests through exciting, creative and active experiences.

We particularly value an active approach to wraparound care. Your sports coaching knowledge can be used beyond structured coaching sessions to help create an environment where children are encouraged to move, play, try new things and have fun.

This could include using your skills and creativity to engage children in:

  • Active games and sports
  • Team challenges
  • Group games
  • Creative activities
  • Themed activities
  • Movement-based games
  • Challenges and competitions
  • New and unique experiences

We're looking for coaches who can use their knowledge of sport, games and activity to create fun experiences that keep children engaged and active, while also supporting their creativity, independence and social development.

Before-School Opportunities

There may also be opportunities to deliver before-school sports clubs or activities, depending on our programme and availability.

Before-school work is not a requirement of the role, with the primary focus being on after-school delivery.

Other Opportunities

Depending on your experience, qualifications, interests and what we have available, there may also be opportunities to become involved in:

  • Holiday camps
  • SEND programmes
  • Inclusive PE sessions
  • School competitions
  • Enrichment days
  • Other school-based sports and activity programmes
  • A wider range of sports and physical activities

These opportunities will depend on our current programme, your suitability and availability.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for coaches who are:

  • Qualified through a recognised National Governing Body (NGB)
  • Passionate about sport and physical activity
  • Passionate about working with children
  • Confident delivering sports sessions independently
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and engaging
  • Reliable, punctual and professional
  • Confident managing groups of children
  • Able to adapt activities for different ages and abilities
  • Positive and proactive when managing behaviour
  • Creative and willing to bring new ideas to sessions
  • Committed to safeguarding and children's wellbeing

We're looking for coaches who bring genuine passion, enthusiasm and energy to everything they deliver. For some children, our club may be their first experience of a particular sport, so we want coaches who can make that first experience fun, welcoming and memorable, encouraging children to want to come back and keep participating.

We want coaches who can engage children of different ages and abilities, create a positive atmosphere and deliver sessions with a clear theme, purpose and progression. You should think about what children will learn, how they will develop and, most importantly, how to make every session an enjoyable experience.

The same approach applies to our wraparound provision. We want people who can take their knowledge of sport, games and physical activity and use it creatively to engage children beyond the traditional sports session.

Experience working with children in schools, extracurricular clubs, holiday camps or similar settings is highly desirable.

Hours & Opportunities

This is currently a bank-hours / Part Time position, with hours offered based on our current programme, your availability, experience and qualifications.

The role will primarily follow the journey:

After-School Sports Club → Fiesta Kids+ Wraparound

There may also be opportunities for before-school work, holiday camps and other programmes as they become available.

For the right person, there is potential for the role to grow over time based on your performance, reliability, passion and contribution to the team.

We're growing, and we want to develop coaches who want to grow with us.

Why Join Fiesta Sports Coaching?

At Fiesta, we believe sport and physical activity can give children much more than physical skills.

Our extracurricular clubs provide children with opportunities to learn, develop, challenge themselves and discover activities they want to continue beyond their time with us.

Our Kids+ Wraparound provision gives children the opportunity to explore, create, play and build independence in a safe, nurturing and active environment.

As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Coach across a variety of primary schools and settings
  • Develop your coaching skills across different sports and age groups
  • Work with children with different abilities and needs
  • Use your coaching knowledge in a wider range of activities
  • Gain experience beyond traditional sports coaching
  • Access training and CPD opportunities
  • Take on additional responsibilities as you develop
  • Increase your hours as opportunities become available
  • Develop into further roles within the company based on performance and passion
  • Be part of a growing team that genuinely cares about the experiences we provide for children
