Multi Technician- Kitchen & AC Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Kitchen & AC Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in commercial kitchen equipment maintenance, along with good knowledge of AC/HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance works.

The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repairs, and ensuring that all kitchen equipment and related systems are operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial kitchen equipment.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs of kitchen appliances and equipment such as:
• Gas and electric cooking ranges
• Ovens and combi ovens
• Fryers and grills
• Griddles and hot plates
• Bain-marie and hot holding equipment
• Refrigerators and freezers
• Dishwashers and other kitchen machinery
• Exhaust hoods and ventilation systems
• Perform AC/HVAC maintenance, including split ACs, package units, exhaust and ventilation systems.
• Diagnose and repair basic AC faults, including cooling, electrical, drainage, and refrigerant-related issues.
• Carry out electrical maintenance, including sockets, switches, lighting, wiring, breakers, isolators, and basic fault finding.
• Carry out plumbing works, including water supply, drainage, faucets, valves, sinks, pipes, and leakage repairs.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce equipment breakdowns and downtime.
• Attend emergency maintenance calls and respond quickly to equipment failures.
• Conduct routine inspections of kitchen equipment and identify potential problems before breakdowns occur.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, repairs, spare parts, and equipment condition.
• Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and electrical/gas safety procedures.
• Coordinate with kitchen and operations teams to minimize disruption to daily operations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Perform other general maintenance duties as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Kitchen Technician, AC Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Multi Technician.
• Strong practical knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Good working knowledge of AC/HVAC systems.
• Good knowledge of electrical and plumbing maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and technical faults.
• Ability to read basic technical diagrams and manuals.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to respond to emergency maintenance requirements when needed.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Relevant technical qualification or vocational training is an advantage.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, catering companies, central kitchens, or commercial food-service operations is preferred.
