HB Protein Smoothies is a growing protein smoothie and healthy lifestyle franchise, and Florida Shakes, LLC is building our first four-location operation in Palm Beach and St. Lucie Counties with plans for continued expansion. We are seeking an experienced Multi-Unit Operations Manager who has a proven track record of opening new food, beverage, restaurant, or franchise locations and successfully transitioning them into high-performing operations.

Our ideal candidate has personally experienced the entire new-store lifecycle—from pre-opening planning and recruiting, through training and grand opening, to the critical first 30, 60, and 90 days of operations. Someone who has only managed established restaurants, without meaningful new-store opening experience, will not be the right fit for this position.

The Opportunity

The Multi-Unit Operations Manager will be responsible for helping build and lead operations as we open and stabilize four locations.

This person will work closely with the ownership team and franchisor to:

• Prepare new locations for opening
• Build and train opening teams
• Establish operating systems and standards
• Lead grand openings
• Stabilize new stores
• Develop strong store managers
• Create consistency across all locations
• Build the operational foundation for future expansion

The role will evolve from new-store launch leadership into ongoing multi-unit operational leadership, making this an especially important position during HB Protein's early growth.

Critical Requirement: New Store Opening Experience

We are specifically looking for someone who has been responsible for the operational side of opening a new location and can tell us exactly what it takes to open a store—and what commonly goes wrong when you don't. Experience opening multiple locations is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Store Development & Openings

Take ownership of the operational readiness and launch of new HB Protein locations.

• Develop detailed pre-opening plans, timelines, and checklists.
• Work closely with ownership, the franchisor, contractors, vendors, and other partners.
• Establish staffing requirements and hiring timelines.
• Recruit and onboard opening teams.
• Develop store-specific training schedules.
• Coordinate inventory, equipment, supplies, technology, and operational materials.
• Ensure every operational component is ready before opening.
• Lead soft openings and grand-opening execution.
• Be highly visible and hands-on during the opening period.
• Remain actively involved during the first 30, 60, and 90 days until the location is operating consistently.
• Identify problems quickly and implement corrective actions.
• Develop a repeatable opening process that can be used for future HB Protein locations.

2. Multi-Unit Operations

Once locations are operational, oversee the day-to-day performance of different locations.

• Develop and manage store managers.
• Conduct regular store visits and operational reviews.
• Ensure consistency across all locations.
• Monitor sales, labor, inventory, waste, customer service, quality, and other key performance indicators.
• Establish accountability and performance expectations.
• Identify trends and operational issues before they become significant problems.
• Develop action plans to improve underperforming areas.
• Ensure compliance with HB Protein and franchisor standards.

3. People & Leadership

Build a strong team capable of supporting a growing multi-unit business.

• Recruit and develop outstanding store managers.
• Establish clear expectations for store leadership.
• Develop training and onboarding programs.
• Develop a culture centered around hospitality, quality, teamwork, and execution.

4. Store Performance & Profitability

Partner with ownership to ensure each location becomes a healthy, sustainable business.

• Monitor sales and operating performance.
• Review labor and scheduling efficiency.
• Monitor food/product costs, inventory, and waste.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability.
• Develop store-level action plans.
• Establish measurable goals for each store manager.
• Use operational data to make informed decisions.

5. Customer Experience & Brand Execution

Protect the HB Protein customer experience as the business grows.

• Ensure consistent product quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance standards.
• Ensure procedures are followed consistently.
• Monitor speed and quality of service.
• Review customer feedback and address recurring concerns.
• Ensure each location reflects the HB Protein brand and franchisor standards.

What We Are Looking For

Required

• 5+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in restaurants, food service, beverage, hospitality, or franchising.

· Experience opening multiple new locations (3+)

· Promoted at least 5 people from hourly to management

· Experience taking a location from pre-opening through grand opening and stabilization.

• Experience managing multiple locations and/or multiple management teams.
• Experience recruiting, training, and developing store managers.
• Strong understanding of restaurant/food-service operations.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.
• Willingness to be extremely hands-on during new-store openings.
• Ability to travel between Palm Beach and St. Lucie County locations.

Strongly Preferred

• Experience opening multiple stores within a relatively short period.
• Experience with smoothie, juice, coffee, fast-casual, healthy food, wellness, or similar concepts.
• Experience developing operating procedures and systems for a growing company.
• Experience working directly with franchise owners and/or franchisors in a growing franchise system.

Physical requirements

Stand and move for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced food-service setting, with reasonable accommodation as required by law.

Compensation

Competitive base salary and performance-based incentive compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 base salary + substantial performance-based bonus based on clearly defined sales, operational and profitability milestones with additional bonuses for new stores opened.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
