Multi-Vendor Telecom Datacom Planning Engineer / Team Lead

Job Overview:

Huawei is looking for experienced Multi-Vendor Telecom Datacom Planning Engineers / Team Leads across Pakistan, with strong hands-on experience in multi-vendor telecom Datacom and IP transport systems, including Huawei, Cisco, Nokia, ZTE and/or third-party equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise Datacom planning engineers to ensure timely delivery of network designs and project milestones.
• Oversee HLD and LLD for metro, regional, and long-haul IP/MPLS networks.
• Analyze traffic patterns, perform link budget analyses, and forecast bandwidth demands.
• Manage CapEx planning, budget forecasting, BOM preparation, RFPs, and technical tender evaluations.
• Coordinate with equipment vendors, contractors, and internal departments.
• Define operational standards and drive improvements in network deployment and monitoring.

Skill Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with Huawei (NE, CX, ATN), Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, or ZTE IP systems.
• Multi-vendor IP network integration, Network Planning & Design (IP/MPLS, SR, BGP, OSPF, ISIS).
• Experience in telecom site installation, testing, commissioning, network swap, upgradation, and merger projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of link budgets, optical protection schemes, NMS platforms, and routing/MPLS integration.
• Experience with Zong, Jazz, Telenor, Ufone/PTCL, or similar operators preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, project management, vendor negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Qualification: B.E./B.Sc. Electrical, Electronics, Telecom Engineering or equivalent.

Experience Required:

• Junior Engineer: 5+ years
• Senior Engineer: 7+ years
• Team Lead: 8–15+ years
