Multi Welder

Job Purpose:

To perform various welding activities using multiple welding processes on piping, pressure parts, structural steel, and equipment in accordance with approved Welding procedure Specifications (WPS), project requirernents, and applicable industry codes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding using multiple processes including:
• GTAW (TIG) SMAW (Stick)
• GMAW (MIG) (if required)
• Carry out welding on carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel and other materials as specified.
• Read and interpret welding drawings, isometric drawings, fabrication sketches, and WPS documents.
• Prepare joints, perform fit-up verification, and ensure proper weld preparation before welding.
• Weld pipe joints in various positions including 1G,2G,3G,4G,5G, and 6G.
• Perform maintenance and repair welding during shutdowns and routine maintenance activities.
• Ensure weld quality meets project specifications and applicable ASME/API standards.
• Assist in weld repairs and rework activities when required.
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper storage of welding consumables.
