Multicraft Foundry Technician

Duties

• Operate and maintain a variety of foundry equipment including CNC laser cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, plasma cutters, and forming machines to produce precise metal parts.
• Set up machining tools and fabrication equipment according to technical specifications and blueprints.
• Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to ensure proper assembly and machining processes.
• Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments and shop math to verify dimensions and adherence to safety standards.
• Perform welding, metal forming, sheet metal fabrication, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) tasks with attention to detail and safety protocols.
• Use cranes, hand tools, tooling, and press brakes safely for material handling and component assembly.
• Follow safety standards in production environments, including proper machine operation procedures and measurement for quality control.

Experience

• Proven experience operating machining equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutters, stamping presses, or forming machines in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math accurately.
• Familiarity with safety standards related to machine operation, metal fabrication, welding, and material handling.
• Hands-on experience with precision measurement instruments for quality inspection and measurement control.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC programming, laser cutting (CNC laser), electrical discharge machining (EDM), sheet metal fabrication, and assembly techniques.
• Ability to operate forklifts or cranes safely is preferred but not mandatory; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Basic math skills necessary for machining setup and measurement verification; familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) is advantageous.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
