This position will work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager, discipline construction teams, Commissioning Team, Engineering, Client Representatives, Trade Contractors, Vendors, and Equipment Manufacturers to ensure installations meet project specifications, approved construction documents, applicable codes and standards, manufacturer requirements, owner cleanroom protocols, and project quality expectations.

The ideal candidate has broad multidiscipline field experience, understands semiconductor and mission-critical construction, and takes a proactive approach to identifying and preventing quality issues before they impact testing, commissioning, tool install, schedule, or turnover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily QA/QC surveillance and inspections across all disciplines, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, process piping, and cleanroom scopes.
  • Verify installations comply with IFC drawings, specifications, approved submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, manufacturer requirements, applicable codes, and owner fab standards.
  • Review contractor Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection checklists, and supporting quality documentation for all disciplines.
  • Participate in pre-installation, preparatory, and First Work / First-in-Place inspections.
  • Inspect work prior to concealment, including embeds, rebar and concrete placement, underground utilities, in-wall and above-ceiling rough-in, insulation, pressure testing, energization, and startup.
  • Verify cleanroom construction protocols, clean build practices, and contamination control requirements are followed in the fab and sub-fab.
  • Witness and verify discipline-specific testing, such as concrete and soils testing, bolt torque, weld inspection and NDE, pressure and helium leak testing, UHP gas and UPW certification, insulation resistance (megger), and cable termination testing.
  • Identify and document quality deficiencies, observations, punch-list items, and nonconforming work.
  • Coordinate corrective actions with trade contractors and verify deficiencies through final closure.
  • Perform system walkdowns and support Mechanical Completion, commissioning readiness, and tool install readiness.
  • Coordinate inspections with contractors, third-party inspectors, commissioning personnel, engineering, and project leadership.
  • Participate in QA/QC meetings, discipline coordination meetings, commissioning meetings, and quality walks.
  • Review and maintain inspection, test, and turnover documentation for all disciplines, including weld logs, test reports, and material certifications.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with quality reporting, metrics, trends, Lessons Learned, and contractor quality performance.
