What they need
Join the Burnt Fig Team
Burnt Fig is a growing catering and events company delivering exceptional food and service across Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
We specialise in catering and event management for weddings, Masonic dinners, funeral receptions, private celebrations, corporate events and much more. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and confident Event Site Supervisor to become a key member of our team.
This is a hands-on role where you'll take the lead across multiple Masonic venues, as well as a variety of external events. You'll be trusted to represent Burnt Fig on-site, ensuring every event runs smoothly, leading your team with confidence, and delivering an exceptional experience for every guest.
About the Role
No two events are the same.
One weekend you could be overseeing a formal Masonic dinner, the next managing a wedding reception, followed by a funeral gathering, conference, baby shower or private celebration.
As Event Site Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing the setup and delivery of events from start to finish. You'll act as the main point of contact on-site, coordinating staff, liaising with clients and venue teams, and ensuring every event is delivered to the highest standard.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, leading a team and creating memorable experiences for guests. As Burnt Fig continues to grow, there will be opportunities to develop your role and progress within the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of Masonic dinners across our partner venues.
- Oversee the smooth running of weddings, funeral receptions, conferences, baby showers, corporate events and private functions.
- Set up dining rooms and event spaces in line with client requirements and company standards.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, venue representatives, suppliers and the Burnt Fig team throughout each event.
- Lead, motivate and support front-of-house staff, ensuring excellent teamwork and communication.
- Deliver pre-event briefings, allocating roles, timings and service expectations.
- Coordinate food service with the kitchen team, ensuring smooth and efficient event delivery.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, responding professionally to feedback and resolving any issues quickly and calmly.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and maximise additional sales where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate event records, staffing schedules and post-event feedback.
- Ensure all food hygiene, health & safety and company procedures are followed at all times.
- Assist with training new team members and help foster a positive, supportive working environment.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality, catering, hotels, restaurants or events.
- Is confident leading a team and making decisions independently.
- Has outstanding customer service skills and genuinely enjoys looking after people.
- Is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities across different venues.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Has strong time management skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Remains calm under pressure and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
- Has a flexible, positive and can-do attitude.
- Has a good knowledge of food service, drinks and allergen awareness.
- Is happy to work primarily evenings and weekends.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle, as you'll be travelling between venues across Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
Ready to Join Us?
If you're passionate about hospitality, enjoy leading a team and thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day is different, we'd love to hear from you.
