Wise Staffing Group is currently hiring for 8 immediate manufacturing opportunities with an established local manufacturer in the Richmond/Henrico area. We are looking for dependable, motivated individuals with manufacturing, machine operation, printing, production, or mechanical experience. Training opportunities are available for select positions.

CURRENT OPENINGS

2nd Pressman – 2 Openings

Pay: Starting at $16/hour

Shifts Available:

• 1 opening on 1st shift
• 1 opening with flexible shift availability

Ideal Experience:

• Printing press experience
• Sheet-fed offset printing
• Pressman or press helper experience
• Commercial printing or bindery experience
• KBA/Koenig & Bauer, Komori, or similar press experience is a plus

Job Duties:

• Assist with setup and operation of sheet-fed printing presses
• Assist with press make-ready
• Adjust feeders, delivery mechanisms, rollers, and other press components
• Monitor print quality, color, and registration
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs
• Maintain a safe and efficient production environment

Adjuster Trainee – 4 Openings

Pay: $18/hourShift:

• Training on 1st shift
• Must have flexibility to move to 3rd shift
• 12-hour shift flexibility may be required

No direct envelope experience required.This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined and interested in learning how to operate, adjust, troubleshoot, and maintain production machinery.Ideal Backgrounds:

• Machine Operator

• CNC Operator/Helper
• Industrial Mechanic Helper
• Auto or Small Engine Mechanic

Job Duties:

• Learn to set up and adjust production machinery
• Change machines between different sizes and styles
• Monitor product quality
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions
• Maintain production speed and efficiency
• Perform routine maintenance and general repairs
• Work with hand tools and production equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for most of the shift
• Repetitive hand and wrist movements
• Regular lifting of up to 75 lbs.

Knife Operator – 1 Opening

Pay: $16–$17/hourShift:

• 1st Shift

Ideal Experience:

• Paper Cutter Operator
• Knife Operator
• Guillotine Cutter Operator
• Bindery Operator
• Printing Finishing Operator
• Cutting Machine Operator
• Slitter Operator
• Commercial printing or paper manufacturing experience

Job Duties:

• Set up and operate industrial cutting equipment
• Monitor product quality
• Maintain production targets
• Troubleshoot equipment issues
• Perform routine equipment maintenance
• Complete production paperwork
• Communicate machine and job status between shifts

Requirements:

• Ability to accurately use a ruler
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including fractions and decimals
• Ability to work from measurements and specifications
• Regular lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for most of the shift

Machine Operator – 1 Opening

Pay: $16/hourShift:

• 2nd Shift

Ideal Experience:

• Machine Operator
• Production Operator
• Packaging Machine Operator
• Manufacturing Associate
• Equipment Operator
• Manufacturing Machine Operator
• Folder/Gluer Operator
• Printing Production Worker

Job Duties:

• Feed materials into production equipment
• Monitor finished-product quality
• Pack finished products
• Label cartons
• Stack completed products
• Assist with machine jams and setup
• Assist with troubleshooting
• Complete production paperwork
• Maintain a safe and efficient production environment

Requirements:

• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
• Ability to stand for most of the shift
• Regular lifting of up to 25 lbs.
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Ability to follow production and safety procedures
