Murex Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Project Governance & Delivery: Own end-to-end delivery of Murex initiatives (e.g., MX.3 migrations, module rollouts like Risk/Datamart/Limits, or regulatory compliance projects like FRTB/LIBOR transition).
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between Front/Middle/Back Office business leads, IT engineering teams, and vendor consultants.
• Scope & Resource Planning: Define project roadmaps, work breakdown structures (WBS), resource allocation, budget tracking, and milestones.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Oversee SIT, UAT, and parallel runs; manage defect triage and ensure seamless cutover/go-live execution.
• Vendor & Partner Management: Partner directly with Murex vendor teams and system integrators to manage deliverables and SLAs.
• Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify project risks, technical dependencies, and regulatory impacts, creating effective mitigation strategies

Profile

• Master's degree or bachelor's Degree, preferably 10+ years of total technical project management experience in Financial Services / Capital Markets, with at least 5+ years dedicated to managing Murex (MX.3) platforms.
• Strong understanding of cross-asset financial instruments (Fixed Income, FX, Rates, Commodities, Equity Derivatives) and core capital markets workflows (Trade Lifecycle, P&L, Market/Credit Risk, Accounting, Clearing).
• Strong working knowledge of Murex modules (e.g., MxML Exchange, Datamart, Risk Matrix, Pre-Trade/Post-Trade workflows).
• Having Murex project management experiences is preferred. PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum Certification (CSM/PSM) can be an add on.
• Proven experience delivering projects using both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall/Hybrid frameworks and managing a full-lifecycle Murex migration or binary upgrade (e.g., 2.11 to MX.3, or MX.3 version upgrades).
• Hands-on background as a Murex Business Analyst or Technical Consultant earlier in your career. Experience with integration between Murex and upstream/downstream enterprise systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, SWIFT, Core Banking platforms).
• Fluent in Mandarin is a MUST.
