Akaroa Museum, part of the Christchurch City Council, plays a vital role in the preservation and interpretation of Banks Peninsula history, serving the local community and visitors to the area. We are a small team of 6 (including this role) with different roles that help support the day to day running of our much-loved museum

About the role | Ko te mahi nei

Our Museum Assistants assist with front-of-house duties, including greeting visitors, answering visitor enquiries and handling retail sales. This is a casual position that will cover periods of leave, illness of staff, and busy periods. You will be required on an irregular, as required basis, approximately 40 days per year. As Akaroa Museum is open 7 days a week you may be asked to work some weekends and public holidays.
