Mushroom Packaging and Processing Team Member

Duties

• Operate packaging machinery and industrial equipment safely and efficiently, following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Assist with the processing of mushroom, including sorting, cleaning, and preparing orders for distribution.
• Handle mushrooms using appropriate equipment including forklifts, slicers, pulverizers and sealers while ensuring safe warehouse operations
• Interpret production documents, batch records, and quality control reports accurately to maintain compliance with organic and food safety standards
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, GAP (Good Agricultural Practices), FDA regulations, and CCOF (California Certified Organic Farming) guidelines throughout all tasks
• Perform heavy lifting and assembly tasks as needed while maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience in produce or industrial environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and recording production data accurately
• Mechanical knowledge or troubleshooting skills related to industrial equipment are highly advantageous
• Familiarity with packaging equipment, materials handling techniques, and warehouse operations is a plus
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely; certification is preferred but not mandatory
• Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments and the ability to follow safety protocols diligently
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret production documents and follow detailed instructions
• Willingness to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and assembly in a manufacturing setting

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
