Music Teaching Artist

Role Description Part-time, on-site position based in Brooklyn, NY for Teaching Artists in MUSIC, for different subjects/specialties, especially interested/able to handle group classes (Early Childhood, elementary level, group instruments), private lesson instructors (piano, vocals, guitar), and different levels of experience. We're looking for a candidate to join the Encore team of music faculty! We value flexible musical teaching artists, who value the educational experience and like working with a team.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in instrumental and/or vocal music
• Demonstrated ability in Teaching and Teaching Acting, including leading group classes and individual instruction.
• Experience with Curriculum Development for performing arts, designing structured and progressive lesson plans.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support learners of varied ages and skill levels.
• Prior teaching experience in a school, studio, or community program is highly beneficial.
• Formal training in music (degree or equivalent professional experience) preferred.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful learning environment and adhering to school policies and procedures.
• Availability to teach on-site in Brooklyn, NY during agreed-upon class times and school events.
• Hebrew language skills a plus!

Company Description Encore Community Music School at the SCC is a performing arts education organization dedicated to nurturing musical and theatrical talent in learners of all ages.
