About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and talented Music / Vocal Teachers to join our team at our Wan Chai location. This is a part-time position ideal for both experienced educators and those beginning their teaching career. Whether you are an established vocal coach or an intern or trainee looking to develop your teaching skills, we welcome applications from candidates at different stages of their professional journey. In this role, you will have the opportunity to share your passion for music and vocal performance whilst making a meaningful impact on students' musical development and confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective one-to-one or small group vocal and music lessons to students of varying ages and ability levels
• Develop personalised lesson plans tailored to each student's goals, learning style and musical interests
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their vocal technique, musical theory knowledge and performance skills
• Prepare students for performances, examinations, competitions or other musical milestones as appropriate
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
• Create a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students to develop their musical abilities
• Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress and any areas for development
• Stay informed about current teaching methodologies and best practices in music education
• Contribute to the overall success and reputation of Sing and You Coaching Company Limited through professional and dedicated service

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated expertise and passion for music and vocal performance
• Strong vocal technique and musicianship skills with the ability to communicate and teach these effectively to others
• Experience in vocal training, music tuition or related teaching roles (or current involvement in formal music education training for interns and trainees)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with students of different ages and backgrounds
• Patience, enthusiasm and a genuine desire to help students develop their musical talents
• Ability to create structured lesson plans and adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
• A reliable, professional approach with strong organisational skills
• Relevant music qualifications or certifications are advantageous (such as ABRSM, Trinity College London, Rockschool or equivalent)
• Fluency in English and Cantonese (or Mandarin) is preferred to cater to our diverse student base
• For trainee or intern applicants: willingness to learn, develop teaching skills and receive mentorship from experienced coaches
