Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive plumbing curriculum tailored to high school students, incorporating industry standards and safety protocols.
• Conduct classroom instruction complemented by practical demonstrations on plumbing systems, hydraulics, HVAC/R, electrical work, and related mechanical skills.
• Utilize educational technologies such as computers, online instruction platforms, and Blackboard to enhance learning experiences.
• Incorporate technical skills instruction including welding, automotive diagnostics, aircraft maintenance, and MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) practices into training modules.
• Design course materials that align with curriculum standards while fostering hands-on learning opportunities in plumbing installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Assess student progress through evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Maintain a safe learning environment by enforcing OSHA standards and safety guidelines throughout all instructional activities.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, electrical work, welding, automotive repair, and aircraft maintenance.
• Proven experience with course design and curriculum development for technical education programs.
• Strong classroom training experience with adult learners and post-secondary students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Familiarity with educational technologies including computers for instructional purposes and online learning platforms like Blackboard.
• Hands-on experience working in manufacturing or construction environments; knowledge of MRO practices is a plus.
• Ability to teach complex technical concepts clearly and effectively across multiple disciplines such as HVAC, electrical systems, automotive diagnostics, and plumbing.
• Working knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards applicable to trade education settings.
• Excellent communication skills combined with mechanical knowledge to foster engaging learning experiences that prepare students for real-world applications.

Pay: $35.00 - $52.00 per hour
