Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage database availability, performance, monitoring, maintenance, backup/recovery, replication, and production troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in MySQL DBA, SQL, High Availability, Replication, Backup & Recovery, and production database support.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor MySQL database health, performance, availability, and capacity.
• Perform database administration, maintenance, upgrades, configuration, and optimization.
• Manage and troubleshoot MySQL Replication and High Availability environments.
• Perform database backup, restore, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
• Validate backup integrity and ensure database recoverability.
• Analyze performance issues and perform query/database optimization.
• Troubleshoot critical production database incidents and provide timely resolution.
• Maintain database security, configuration, documentation, and operational standards.
• Collaborate with application, development, infrastructure, and support teams.
• Identify potential database issues proactively and recommend performance and stability improvements.
• Provide production support during business-critical incidents, including outside regular working hours when required.

Required Skills

• 6-10 years of overall IT experience with 4-5+ years of relevant MySQL DBA experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in MySQL Database Administration.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL High Availability.
• Strong experience in MySQL Replication, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of Backup, Restore, Recovery, and Disaster Recovery.
• Experience with database monitoring and performance-tuning tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot production database issues.
