MySQL Database Administrator

We're looking for MySQL Database Administrator to keep our MySQL databases reliable, secure, and ready to scale. You’ll improve performance, automate routine operations, and make sure data can be recovered quickly when issues arise.

Your responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain MySQL databases, ensuring their availability, performance, and security
• Configure and manage database clusters, including multi-node cluster configurations
• Conduct performance tuning and capacity management to ensure databases operate efficiently
• Implement, manage and perform testing of backup and recovery solutions for MySQL databases.
• Utilize automation and configuration management tools to streamline database operations and improve reliability
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Collaborate with other teams to define and implement improvements and ensure compliance with regulatory policies and procedures
• Manage MySQL database user access, roles, and permissions in line with least-privilege and data protection requirements
• Plan and execute MySQL database upgrades, patching, and version migrations with minimal downtime

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
• Strong knowledge of database technologies (MySQL)
• Experience with performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security best practices
• Experience with database migration and integration processes
• Experience with DB replication, Disaster Recovery and Database load testing

Bonus points for:

• Experience with cloud-based databases administration (AWS, Azure)
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, SQL, etc.) for automation
• Git experience
