Overview
We are seeking 3 talented and professional Nail Technicians to join The Tarnished Brush Nail Studio.

The Tarnished Brush is Sanfords only sustainable luxury salon. We pride ourselves in offering the highest quality services and products on the market.

Our focus is in high quality services offered to an area that is predominantly upper middle class. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for nail care and pedicures, providing exceptional services to clients in a welcoming environment. This role offers the opportunity to showcase your skills in nail artistry, customer service, and various nail related services, contributing to clients’ confidence and satisfaction. A strong understanding of sanitation protocols, color theory, and retail sales will enhance your success in this position. Licensed in the state of North Carolina in cosmetology or manicurist is required.

Must be experienced in Acrylic, Gel-X and Soft builder gel overlays. Must be able to preform a basic pedicure in an hour.

Pay structure will be discussed during initial interview.

Salon hours are Tue-Sat 9-5, Closed Sundays and Mondays. Three Saturday shifts a month are mandatory.

Marketing for techs through various social media platforms to increase customer volume will be provided, however techs are responsible for marketing themselves and filling their books outside of salon walk ins.

This is a luxury level salon. You must be willing to gain certification in the services we offer within the first 60 days. These certifications are free offered through Famous Names Products.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional nail care services including manicures, pedicures, soft builder and hard gel services, acrylic, acrygel/polygel, gel-x and nail art with attention to detail
• Techs will manage their time to maximize their income
• Techs must manage their schedule and client bookings in a timely and professional manner
• Educate clients on nail care routines and recommend suitable products for retail sales
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace following all sanitation protocols
• Upsell additional services and retail products to enhance client experience and increase revenue
• Build strong customer relationships through excellent communication skills and personalized service
• Stay current with industry trends in color theory, nail art techniques, and new nail services
• Assist with retail sales by promoting products effectively
• Keep their workspace and shared space clean and free of dust and trash at all times

Qualifications

• Valid NC cosmetology or manicurist license required
• Proven experience in nail care services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, acrygel and nail art is preferred
• Knowledge of sanitation practices and safety standards in a salon environment
• Reliable transportation to and from the salon
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse range of clients
• Ability to upsell services and knowledge of our retail products
• Familiarity with color theory to create appealing nail designs
• Additional compensation available to bilingual (Spanish) techs able to translate and aid clients when needed.
• IBX, ReLeaf, and Aesco certification is preferred but willing to facilitate certification within first 60 days.

Projected Total Compensation: $35,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
