Job Summary

MOF Fashions – Hair Salon & Beauty Spa is looking for a skilled and customer-focused Nail Technician to join our Durban CBD team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering professional nail services while creating an excellent customer experience and contributing towards the growth of the salon's nail division.

We are looking for someone who is creative, productive, reliable and capable of retaining clients through quality workmanship and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional manicure and pedicure services.
• Perform acrylic, gel and other applicable nail enhancement services.
• Nail shaping, preparation, application and finishing.
• Perform nail art and creative designs according to client requirements and skill level.
• Maintain appropriate hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Properly clean and maintain nail equipment and workstations.
• Consult clients and recommend appropriate nail services.
• Deliver services efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Build strong client relationships and encourage repeat bookings.
• Participate in approved salon promotions and client-acquisition initiatives.
• Handle salon products and resources responsibly.
• Follow salon procedures relating to bookings, payments and client records.
• Maintain professional attendance and punctuality.
• Contribute towards individual and salon revenue targets.
• Sales ability, especially face to face sales.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous professional nail technician experience preferred.
• Competence in acrylic and gel applications.
• Good nail-art and finishing ability.
• Understanding of nail hygiene, preparation and aftercare.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent customer-service skills.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to work in a fast-paced salon.
• Available for weekends and peak trading periods.
• Must be based in Durban or have reliable transport to Durban CBD.

Remuneration

R800 weekly remuneration not limited this, subject to the salon's agreed remuneration and performance framework. There is also 10% for clients personally canvassed. The is an offer to take 35% of total clients serviced as opposed to the above mentioned basic.

Employees will operate within defined daily and weekly revenue expectations, with additional earning opportunities available for approved self-generated/canvassed clientele.

Full remuneration and performance terms will be discussed during the interview and formally documented before commencement.
