Nail Technician

Position Overview

Pegasus Treatment Center is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and client-focused Nail Technician to provide professional nail care services to clients as part of our facility's wellness and personal care programming. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming, respectful, and relaxing experience while maintaining high standards of sanitation, infection prevention, and professional conduct.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide professional manicures, nail trimming, shaping, filing, cuticle care, and polish application within the scope of the technician's training and licensure.
• Deliver services in a respectful, supportive, and client-centered manner.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary nail care workspace before, during, and after each service.
• Properly clean, disinfect, and store reusable tools and equipment in accordance with applicable New Jersey requirements and facility infection-control policies.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow hand hygiene and other infection-prevention procedures.
• Inspect clients' nails and surrounding skin for visible signs of potential infection or other concerns and refer concerns to appropriate clinical staff rather than attempting to diagnose or treat medical conditions.
• Maintain appropriate boundaries, confidentiality, and professional conduct with all clients.
• Coordinate appointments and communicate scheduling needs with designated facility staff.
• Maintain supplies and promptly report equipment issues, sanitation concerns, or supply shortages.
• Follow all applicable facility policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey manicurist license or other applicable authorization required for the services provided.
• Demonstrated knowledge of professional nail care techniques, sanitation, and infection prevention.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work professionally with individuals receiving behavioral health or substance use treatment services.
• Dependable, patient, respectful, and attentive to client comfort and dignity.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and protect confidential client information.

Schedule and Compensation

This is a part-time position with scheduling coordinated based on facility programming and client needs. Specific working days and hours will be discussed during the hiring process.

Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and the agreed-upon employment arrangement.

Work Environment

The Nail Technician will provide services within Pegasus Treatment Center's facility in Burlington, New Jersey. The position involves direct interaction with clients in a treatment setting and requires adherence to applicable safety, sanitation, confidentiality, and facility policies.
