NAT Technician

Responsibilities Job Description

• Perform nucleic acid testing (NAT) to ensure the safety and quality of blood products.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments used in NAT processes.
• Collect, process, and analyze samples with precision and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of test results and laboratory activities.
• Collaborate with the blood bank team to ensure timely and efficient testing.
• Participate in quality assurance and control measures to enhance laboratory performance.
• Assist in the training and orientation of new staff members on NAT procedures.
• Provide emergency support for urgent testing and blood product release.
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.

Qualification B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)
