What they need

Action Rehab is a leading provider of expert hand therapy, physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Our clinicians assess, treat and rehabilitate injuries and conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, helping patients regain movement and return to the life they enjoy.

We are seeking a capable, hands-on National Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day performance of our clinic network across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a broad operational leadership role for someone who enjoys bringing order, accountability and practical improvement to a growing multi-site healthcare business.

The role

You will lead clinic operations and support Business Operations Managers across all locations. You will be responsible for driving consistent service standards, operational performance and administrative efficiency across the network.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading all clinic operations across VIC, NSW and QLD.
  • Managing and developing Business Operations Managers across all locations.
  • Overseeing clinic staffing levels, utilisation, workflows, KPIs and operational performance.
  • Overseeing administrative operations, including call performance, referral management and workflow efficiency.
  • Establishing consistent operational processes and standards across all states.
  • Managing the lease portfolio, including negotiations, renewals, market reviews, landlord relationships, bank guarantees, maintenance and compliance.
  • Scoping and supporting the establishment of new clinic locations.
  • Reviewing and approving supplier payments, operational expenditure and banking requirements.
  • Improving workflows across administration, accounts and operational teams.
  • Reviewing commercial, supplier and service agreements, including surgeon consulting and room-licensing arrangements.
  • Managing business insurance programs and ensuring appropriate coverage across clinic locations.
  • Overseeing workplace compliance, including first aid, safety, regulatory obligations and test-and-tag programs.
  • Leading organisational policy development, review and implementation.
  • Providing operational updates to the CEO and contributing to Board and Partner reporting.
  • Leading projects that improve growth, efficiency and scalability, including technology, AI and automation initiatives.
  • Building relationships with external stakeholders and industry bodies.
  • Overseeing patient complaints and incidents, supporting quality improvement and maintaining high standards of patient service.

About you

You are a practical, commercially minded operations leader with experience managing multiple sites, teams and competing priorities. You can move comfortably between strategic projects and hands-on operational problem-solving.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • Experience in multi-site operations management, preferably in healthcare, professional services or another service-led environment.
  • Strong commercial judgement and confidence working with leases, suppliers, contracts, expenditure and operational reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience improving systems, processes, team accountability and performance.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with managers, clinicians, suppliers and external stakeholders.
  • A calm, organised and solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong written communication skills and confidence preparing clear updates and recommendations for senior leaders.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing healthcare business, working closely with the CEO to strengthen operations and support exceptional patient outcomes.
