National Operations - Contract Cleaning

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven National Operations Manager to lead service delivery excellence across our national contract cleaning portfolio.

In this role you will be responsible for strengthening client partnerships, driving operational performance, and efficient resource management and and ensuring exceptional service outcomes across multiple sites.

You will balance day-to-day operations, to align with our long-term strategy, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role will focus on supporting existing client partners and cleaning teams to deliver our promise of exceptional service . You will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, supporting business growth, and fostering a high-performance culture across the business.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead exceptional service delivery (95-97% client retention rate expected)
• Develop and strengthen long-term relationships with key clients.
• Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and drive additional value-added services.
• Analyse operational and financial performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Participate in tender presentations and client onboarding.
• Ensure compliance with all legislative, contractual, quality and safety requirements across sites.
• Lead, coach and support operational and client service teams, to achieve performance objectives.
• Oversee the maintenance and effective utilisation of machinery and equipment.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure HSEQ compliance throughout.
• Hours of work may include some weekend, early morning or night shifts, as well as interstate travel.

ABOUT YOU

You are a proactive and influential leader who thrives on improving systems, developing people, and optimising operational performance. You bring a strong commercial mindset, exceptional relationship management skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer outcomes.

To be successful you will have:

• A min of 5 years experience in an Operations Manager role**,** ideally within the contract cleaning industry.
• Proven experience managing multiple sites and geographically dispersed teams.
• Strong knowledge of Integrated Management System (IMS)
• Demonstrated leadership capability - ability to influence and engage internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Formal HSEQ qualifications (highly regarded).
• Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• A current driver's license and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
