What they need

Join a fast-growing, Kiwi-owned logistics company where no two days are the same.

We're looking for an experienced National Freight Coordinator who thrives on juggling multiple priorities, solving problems before they become issues, and delivering exceptional service. You'll become a key member of our freight forwarding team, coordinating shipments across New Zealand while building strong relationships with customers, transport providers and internal teams.

About the role

As our National Freight Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring freight moves seamlessly across New Zealand. Working within our Freight Forwarding team, you'll coordinate domestic air, road and sea shipments, ensuring every consignment is delivered safely, on time and in line with our customers' requirements.

This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with customers, transport providers and internal teams to manage bookings, monitor shipments, provide proactive updates, prepare quotations and invoices, and resolve any issues that arise along the way. You'll also support our 3PL operations and continually look for ways to improve processes and enhance the customer experience.

We're looking for someone who thrives on organisation, enjoys building strong relationships, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. You'll be a confident communicator, a proactive problem solver, and someone who remains calm under pressure while managing multiple priorities.

If you enjoy working in a collaborative team, love the challenge of logistics, and want to make a real impact in a growing Kiwi-owned business, we'd love to hear from you.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Experience in freight forwarding, transport, logistics or supply chain coordination.
  • Knowledge of domestic air, road and sea freight operations.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build strong relationships with customers, carriers and colleagues.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to think on your feet when plans change.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring bookings, documentation, quotations and invoicing are completed accurately.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Dangerous Goods knowledge or certification is advantageous, but not essential.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to support the wider team when needed.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering the best possible experience for our customers.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who takes ownership, enjoys working as part of a team, and takes pride in getting the job done right the first time.

Why Join Us?

At Method Logistics, we believe our people are the key to our success. We're a proudly Kiwi-owned and operated logistics company that values teamwork, integrity, flexibility and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. When you join us, you're not just filling a role—you're becoming part of a team that genuinely supports one another and celebrates success together.

Here's what you can expect:

  • A supportive, collaborative team environment where your ideas and contributions are valued.
  • A varied and fast-paced role where every day brings new challenges and opportunities.
  • The chance to make a real impact in a growing business that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ongoing learning and development to help you grow your skills and career.
  • A workplace that values initiative, accountability and customer excellence.
  • The opportunity to work with a diverse range of customers across New Zealand.

If you're looking for a role where your work makes a difference, your ideas are welcomed, and you'll be part of a team that's passionate about delivering outstanding logistics solutions, we'd love to hear from you.
