Natural Gas Technician

Duties

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on pipeline infrastructure, including valves, meters, and pressure regulation equipment
• Operate heavy machinery such as excavators and other equipment necessary for pipeline installation, repair, or maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components of natural gas systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety
• Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with all safety protocols during field operations
• Assist in the installation of new pipeline segments or equipment upgrades while following technical specifications and safety guidelines
• Perform basic math calculations related to pressure measurements, flow rates, and system diagnostics
• Engage in heavy lifting tasks safely to handle equipment or materials during maintenance activities

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair within the oil & gas industry or related fields
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various field environments
• Strong understanding of pipeline systems, safety procedures, and environmental regulations governing natural gas operations
• Basic math skills for troubleshooting system issues and performing measurements accurately
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining safety standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges
• Valid Driver's License

Nice-to-have skills include experience with oil & gas operations, advanced mechanical troubleshooting abilities, certifications in heavy equipment operation, or specialized training in pipeline safety. A strong work ethic combined with a passion for energy infrastructure will set you apart as a top candidate. Regular drug screenings and a clean background check are required.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
