Naval Architect - Offshore Engineer

Client: Confidential - offshore energy storage technology developer

Location: Milan, Italy - office at client site, with travel

Contract: 12 months, extendable, start as soon as possible

The opportunity

Join the offshore engineering team of an innovative developer of long-duration offshore energy storage in Milan.

You will design and validate the floating structures and mooring systems of a patented technology, from prototype to commercial units, working with universities, test basins, suppliers and classification societies.

What you will do

• Design floating structures and their connections
• Design and analyse mooring systems
• Run hydrodynamic and global moored analyses
• Plan basin and sea test campaigns
• Support prototype build and installation

What you bring

• MSc in naval, offshore or maritime engineering
• 4-8 years in offshore structures or moorings
• OrcaFlex, AQWA or Diodore; Ansys or Sesam FEM
• DNV, API and ISO offshore standards
• Eligible to work in the EU; fluent English
