NBD & MarCom Manager

Within the Sales team at AOC in Pune, India, we are looking for a New Business Development & Marketing Communications Manager. In this role you drive growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities, while ensuring clear, targeted market messaging.

Position

• Drive new business growth strategy across defined market segments.
• Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, applications, and customer segments.
• Define value propositions to support market expansion and differentiation.
• Align marketing communications strategy with business development objectives, ensuring consistent and growth-oriented messaging,
• Guide and prioritise marketing communication initiatives that support pipeline generation and strategic growth targets.
• Own segment-specific positioning and go-to-market direction for new and existing markets.
• Drive brand visibility and market presence in targeted industries and at strategic accounts.
• Act as the commercial interface between Sales, Marketing, R&D, and external partners to ensure coherent market approach.
• Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, translating insights into strategic actions.
• Measure and evaluate the commercial impact of marketing initiatives, adjusting strategy to maximize return on investment.
• Work in accordance with company’s values, HR and HS&E policies: instructions, minimum requirements and guidelines.

We Look For

• University degree in Business, Marketing, International Business, or alternatively Chemistry/ Polymer/ Chemical Engineering with strong commercial exposure
• Further qualification in Marketing, Business Development, or Strategic Management preferred.
• 10-18 years of relevant B2B experience, ideally in business development and marketing within specialty chemicals;
• Ability to translate technical value into commercial messaging, with solid strategic and analytical thinking.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, operating effectively across functions and international markets.
• Proven track record in market expansion or go-to-market strategy;
• Experience leading cross-functional projects.
• Direct people management optional but a plus.
