NDIS Disability Support Worker

We are currently recruiting workers with open availability for shifts in the Portsea area, including mornings, afternoons and overnights where available.

At present, we are specifically recruiting for shifts on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 11:00am–3:00pm.

Please note that we do not currently have any other opportunities available around the Portsea area. These shifts are expected to be the main available work in the area for the foreseeable future.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication assistance
• Deliver high-quality care to clients with complex needs and behavioural support requirements
• Support clients to achieve their personal goals and actively participate in community and social activities
• Implement and follow individualised care plans and behaviour support strategies
• Promote independence, dignity, and respect in all interactions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and incident reports
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment at all times

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in disability support, particularly with complex care and behavioural support (preferred)
• A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Understanding of behaviour support practices and person-centred care
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Certificate III or IV in Disability or Individual Support) – desirable
• Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse (Preferred)
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
• RTO Manual Handling Certificate and/or Experience.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, and First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
