What they need

St Jude's Health Care Group is a trusted provider of Aged Care, Allied Health and Disability Services, established in 1982. With a strong reputation built over four decades and as a purpose-driven organisation, we operate with a clear philosophy: we do not provide any service that isn't good enough for our own families. Our work is grounded in respect, integrity, commitment, and genuine partnerships with the individuals and communities we support.

Role Summary

As our NDIS Safeguards Coordinator, you'll play a key role in ensuring compliance with NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission requirements, leading incident and reportable incident processes, supporting behaviour support and restrictive practice compliance, and driving continuous improvement across our services.

Responsibilities and Duties

Incident Management & Safeguarding:

  • Monitor and review customer incidents for accuracy, compliance, and timely follow-up.
  • Identify and manage reportable incidents in line with NDIS requirements.
  • Conduct and support investigations into serious incidents.
  • Provide guidance and training to managers and frontline teams.
  • Analyse trends, identify risks, and recommend preventative actions.
  • Escalate safeguarding and compliance concerns as required.

Behaviour Support & Restrictive Practices:

  • Monitor Behaviour Support Plans and restrictive practice authorisations.
  • Coordinate reporting and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Identify and address unauthorised restrictive practices.
  • Liaise with Positive Behaviour Support practitioners and operational teams.
  • Prepare regular compliance reports and support Quality Assurance processes.

The role is based at our modern Head Office in West Perth and includes regular travel to disability service locations across Perth.

Skills, Attributes and Experience

  • Relevant qualification and at least two years' experience in a similar role within the disability services, community or healthcare sector.
  • Sound knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards, reportable incidents, and restrictive practice requirements.
  • Experience with investigations, incident management, or compliance monitoring.
  • Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

Mandatory requirements:

  • Current National Police Clearance and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current Drivers Licence
