Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced NEBB Certified Technician to perform Testing, Adjusting & Balancing of commercial and industrial HVAC systems throughout the Memphis and surrounding areas.

We are looking for skilled TAB professionals who understand HVAC systems, take pride in accurate technical work, and who want to continue developing within a specialized trade.

Professional candidates that are comfortable working independently in the field troubleshooting system performance, documenting accurate test results, and communicating professionally with contractors, engineers, and other project personnel.

Duties

• Testing, adjusting and balancing air and hydronic HVAC systems
• Measuring airflow, pressure, temperature, RPM and other system performance data
• Balancing supply, return and exhaust air systems
• Testing and balancing pumps and hydronic systems
• Performing equipment and system performance verification
• Read and interpreting mechanical drawing, specifications, schedules and TAB requirements
• Identifying system deficiencies and assisting with troubleshooting
• Accurately documenting field measurements and test results
• Preparing clear and complete TAB field reports
• Coordinating with contractors, engineers, commissioning personnel and other trades
• Maintaining and properly using TAB instruments and testing equipment
• Following applicable safety procedures and industry standards

Requirements

• Valid NEBB certification demonstrating expertise in building systems testing, adjusting and balancing (TAB) or equivalent credentials
• Previous commercial or industrial HVAC Testing, Adjusting and Balancing experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC air and hydronic systems
• Experience using TAB instruments and measuring equipment
• Ability to read mechanical plans, specifications and equipment schedules
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good mathematical and technical aptitude
• Accurate documentation and reporting skills
• Professional communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a crew
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to jobsites
• Pass a 10-panel pre-hire drug screen

Pay: $39.01 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
