NEN Solution Engineering – Voice Team Lead

For our client, we are seeking a NEN Solution Engineering – Voice Team Lead to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space.

This role will guide a team focused on voice, telephony, and collaboration solutions, with responsibility for technical quality, delivery execution, and engineering standards. The position will partner closely with cross-functional teams and vendor stakeholders to support reliable enterprise communications capabilities. It is well suited for a hands-on technical leader who can balance architecture, troubleshooting, documentation, and team mentorship in a complex environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $131,300 – $237,350 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of VoIP and telephony solution engineers
• Oversee engineering quality and delivery schedules
• Ensure comprehensive documentation of engineering processes
• Define technical standards and compliance protocols
• Architect and implement collaboration solutions across platforms
• Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendor partners for solution alignment

Qualifications

• 10+ years of VoIP, VTC, or unified communications engineering experience
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role with people management responsibilities
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience
• Advanced understanding of telephony protocols like SIP, H.323, and ISDN/PRI
• Expertise in designing and deploying enterprise video collaboration systems
• Proficiency with troubleshooting tools like Wireshark and call-detail records
• Knowledge of cybersecurity controls and compliance standards for engineering solutions
