Software Developer

JOB SUMMARY: The Software Developer will assist in maintaining and enhancing the IT development environment, ensuring its integrity, efficiency, and stability. This role involves collaborating with the Director of IT and team members to design, implement, and document efficient code while supporting the organization's technological growth. Successful candidates will demonstrate initiative, technical expertise, time management skills, and strong written and verbal communication abilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Collaborate with the Director of IT and team members to research, design, implement, and manage software programs.

· Test and evaluate new software programs as directed.

· Identify and develop modifications for existing programs to improve functionality.

· Write, implement, and document efficient, high-quality code.

· Gather and assess user feedback to evaluate operational practicality of field requests and proposed solutions.

· Develop and adhere to quality assurance standards and procedures.

· Deploy software tools, processes, and metrics to support development initiatives.

· Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade existing systems.

· Collaborate effectively with other developers to ensure team success and growth.

· Participate in daily and weekly team meetings to maintain clear communication.

· Operate within the Agile/Scrum software development framework.

· Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing software systems.

· Create technical documentation to guide future software development projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

· Proficiency in programming with SQL Server.

· Strong knowledge of C# and VB in the Visual Studio environment.

· Familiarity with the Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.

· Experience developing unit tests for code components or applications.

· Proven ability to work on diverse software development projects.

· Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work independently or within a team.

· Willingness to work in an office setting without remote options.

· Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

· Flexibility to work long hours or adjust schedules as needed.
