Job Overview

We are looking for a .NET Developer to join our technology team and support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of applications within the insurance business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing reliable and scalable applications using Microsoft .NET technologies, working closely with Business Analysts, QA, and other technical teams to translate insurance business requirements into effective system solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using C#, .NET / .NET Core, and ASP.NET.
• Develop and maintain Web Applications, APIs, and backend services supporting insurance business operations.
• Analyze business and system requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs / Web Services with internal and external systems.
• Work with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, including queries, stored procedures, and database optimization.
• Support the enhancement and maintenance of existing insurance applications and legacy systems.
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide technical solutions.
• Perform unit testing and support SIT/UAT activities to ensure system quality.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA/Testers, Developers, Infrastructure teams, and business users throughout the SDLC.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, and development-related documents.
• Follow software development standards, secure coding practices, version control, and deployment procedures.
• Support production incidents and application releases when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 2–5 years of experience in .NET application development.
• Strong knowledge of C#, .NET Framework / .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC and/or ASP.NET Web API.
• Experience with REST API, Web Services, and system integration.
• Good knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks is an advantage.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar development tools is an advantage.
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), software design principles, and SDLC.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams.

Insurance Domain Experience

• Experience in insurance systems or insurance-related projects is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance business processes such as Policy Administration, Underwriting, Claims, Premium, Billing, Commission, Customer/Agent Management, or Insurance Product Configuration will be an advantage.
• Experience integrating with core insurance systems or third-party insurance platforms is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microservices Architecture.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with message queues or event-driven architecture.
• Knowledge of application security and performance optimization.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
