Introduction to Company Established in 1989, Metropolitan Warehouse & Delivery (MWD) is a leading provider of premier White Glove furniture delivery services in the USA. With operations in 44 cities across the USA and a dedicated team of over 1,200 professionals, MWD specializes in ECommerce furniture delivery, warehousing, and comprehensive white-glove delivery solutions.

The Software Engineer (.NET) will join our expanding development team to accommodate an increased project workload. This role is dedicated to developing, maintaining, and scaling web applications and backend services using .NET 8, ASP.NET Core, and Microsoft SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications utilizing .NET 8, ASP.NET Core, and C#.
• Develop and integrate RESTful Web APIs to facilitate application and system integrations.
• Design and effectively manage databases using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Develop clean, reusable, maintainable, and testable code while adhering to established coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement secure and scalable backend solutions that follow industry best practices.
• Work closely with QA engineers to ensure application quality and resolve reported issues.
• Collaborate with team members to analyze business requirements and implement technical solutions.
• Perform thorough code reviews and evaluate Git pull requests by providing constructive feedback and managing approvals or requested changes.
• Use Git and GitHub for source control, code branching, and team collaboration.
• Optimize application and database performance when required.
• Maintain and improve existing applications alongside backend services.
• Participate in full-lifecycle development, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

Must Have:

• Fields of expertise including .NET 8, ASP.NET Core, and C#.
• Proven capability in designing and querying Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Experience developing RESTful Web APIs.
• Proficiency in using Git/GitHub for source control.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in Full-Stack Web Development.
• Hands-on experience optimizing legacy database structures or application performance bottlenecks.
