About the Role

The NetSuite Data Developer owns the end to end movement of NetSuite ERP data into a governed Snowflake platform on AWS. The role combines ERP data literacy with modern data engineering: identifying the record types and fields that drive the finance and operations KPI set, extracting them reliably from NetSuite, and modelling them into certified, business ready data products that finance and operations teams can trust.

This is a build and run role. The developer is accountable for the ingestion of the metric definitions agreed with finance, and the ongoing reliability of the pipelines that keep those metrics current

What You’ll Do

KPI definition and data element identification:

• Understand the single written definition for every metric, including period basis, currency basis and subsidiary treatment.

• Trace each KPI back to its source records and fields in NetSuite, covering transaction headers and lines, accounting lines, chart of accounts, accounting periods, entities, items, budgets and the segment dimensions of subsidiary, department, class and location.

• Document the mapping in a metric dictionary and source to target lineage, and

validate every metric against the equivalent NetSuite saved search, report or KPI

scorecard before it is certified.

• Flag data quality gaps at source, such as missing terms, unapplied cash, inconsistent

item categorization and incomplete custom field population, and drive remediation

with the NetSuite administration team.

Extraction and ingestion from NetSuite

• Build and operate extraction from the NetSuite2.com analytics data source using SuiteAnalytics Connect over ODBC or JDBC, SuiteQL or the REST and SOAP interfaces, selecting the method per object based on volume, latency and governance.

• Design incremental and change capture patterns keyed on system modification timestamps and internal identifiers, with watermarking, retry, backfill and deduplication logic that survives schema drift and custom field additions.

• Land raw extracts in Amazon S3 in Parquet with full schema capture, then load to Snowflake through Snowpipe or external stages.

• Handle multi subsidiary, multi book and multi currency correctly, carrying both transaction and base currency amounts with the applicable exchange rate so consolidation and reconciliation hold.

• Apply data quality tests, freshness monitors, reconciliation controls against NetSuite trial balance and alerting so that variances are detected before a business user reports them.

• Support technical evaluations of other consultants when required, contributing to the

assessment of skills and alignment with project needs

What You Bring

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, including at least 2-3 years working directly with NetSuite data structures in an analytics or integration context

• SuiteAnalytics Connect and the NetSuite2.com data source, SuiteQL, saved searches, SuiteAnalytics Workbook, KPI scorecards, REST and SOAP interfaces, custom records and custom fields, OneWorld multi subsidiary structures

• Experience with Advanced SQL, Snowpipe and Snowpipe Streaming, Streams and Tasks, Dynamic Tables, semantic views, masking and row access policies

• Knowledge of Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, MWAA, Secrets Manager, KMS, IAM and PrivateLink
