About the Role

NetSuite is the operating system for BSF's business — every sales order, purchase order, inventory movement, and financial transaction runs through it. This role owns system configuration, user access, workflow automation, data integrity, and day-to-day platform support across the organization.

This is not a helpdesk role — it's ERP ownership. You'll be the internal expert departments turn to when NetSuite needs to do something new, and the person who keeps the environment clean, well-documented, and running on native functionality wherever possible. BSF is growing across seafood distribution, manufacturing, import operations, and an expanding integration ecosystem, and this role helps NetSuite keep pace with that growth.

You'll partner closely with the Manager of Enterprise Business Systems, our NetSuite development team, and business leaders across Finance, Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain.

What You'll Do

System Administration & Configuration

• Own day-to-day NetSuite administration: configuration, system health, and ongoing environment cleanup
• Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions following least-privilege principles
• Configure forms, fields, record types, page layouts, and workflows using native tools and SuiteFlow
• Audit and rationalize existing customizations — identify what's redundant and what can be replaced with standard functionality
• Manage sandbox environments and enforce a clear change control process
• Own bi-annual NetSuite release readiness: review release notes, test in sandbox, communicate impact
• Maintain system documentation for configurations, workflows, and customizations

Workflow Automation & Process Improvement

• Design and build SuiteFlow workflows, approvals, and automated alerts that reduce manual work
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into NetSuite configuration
• Coordinate with our development team on the rare cases that require custom scripting, providing clear requirements and documentation

Reporting & Data

• Build and maintain saved searches, reports, and KPI dashboards for department leaders
• Support ad hoc data requests from Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain
• Audit and clean up outdated or redundant reports and dashboards

Data Integrity

• Manage CSV imports and mass updates with strong data validation and rollback discipline
• Own data quality within NetSuite — monitor for duplicates and process gaps, and resolve at the source
• Partner with the integration team to troubleshoot data issues arising from connected systems

User Support & Training

• Serve as the primary internal resource for NetSuite questions across departments
• Train new users and deliver refreshers when processes change
• Build self-service resources to reduce routine ticket volume

What You'll Bring

• 5-7+ years of hands-on NetSuite administration experience: user management, workflow configuration, saved searches, custom forms
• Strong working knowledge of SuiteFlow — comfortable building workflows and approval processes independently
• Working knowledge of customizations and SuiteScript — enough to evaluate, troubleshoot, and collaborate with developers on scripted solutions (hands-on development not required)
• A bias toward native NetSuite functionality over custom builds, with sound judgment on when customization is actually warranted
• Experience supporting NetSuite in a distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environment
• Solid understanding of NetSuite's financial modules — order to invoice to GL
• Experience managing NetSuite release cycles and sandbox testing
• Hands-on experience with an integration platform such as Celigo or Boomi, and a solid understanding of how integrated data flows into and out of NetSuite
• Comfort with CSV imports and mass data updates, done safely and with validation
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
