Job Summary

Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage Cisco/HPE switches, routers, and wireless access points.
• Manage and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls (FortiGate, Sophos, Cisco ASA, etc.).
• Configure and maintain VLANs, Routing Protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, Static Routing), NAT, VPN, ACLs, and DNS.
• Monitor network performance using tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG, or Zabbix.
• Ensure network security through firewall policies, access controls, antivirus, and patch management.
• Manage Windows Server and basic Linux administration.
• Configure and maintain VMware virtual environments.
• Troubleshoot network, server, internet connectivity, VPN, and end-user issues.
• Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for internet links, hardware, and support.
• Perform network health checks, preventive maintenance, and firmware upgrades.
• Maintain documentation for network topology, IP addressing, configurations, and SOPs.
• Provide L2/L3 technical support and participate in incident resolution.
• Ensure regular backup of network configurations and maintain disaster recovery readiness.
• Support IT asset management and inventory tracking.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, STP, VTP, NAT, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and ACL.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches.
• Experience with enterprise firewall administration (FortiGate/Sophos/Cisco).
• Good understanding of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with VMware virtualization.
• Knowledge of network monitoring and log analysis tools.
• Familiarity with Office 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, and endpoint security solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Network Administration or IT Infrastructure.
• Experience in Data Center, Enterprise, or System Integrator environments will be preferred.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
• CCNA certification is mandatory.
• CCNP or Fortinet NSE certification will be an added advantage.
• ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
