Network Administrator

About the role

The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, security, and optimization of the organization's network infrastructure. This role provides technical leadership, ensures high availability, and manages complex network environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network architecture (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN)
• Lead network planning, capacity management, and performance optimization
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
• Implement network security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmentation, zero-trust)
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis (L3 support)
• Oversee network monitoring tools and ensure proactive issue resolution
• Automate network tasks using scripting and network automation tools
• Lead disaster recovery and failover strategies for network resilience
• Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and SLAs
• Mentor junior staff and lead network-related projects

About you

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 5–10+ years of networking experience
• Deep knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS)
• Experience with enterprise-grade networking hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.)
• Strong understanding of network security principles
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, hybrid)
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Effective communication and stakeholder management
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
