Network Administrator

We are looking for a knowledgeable and dependable Network Administrator to support, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve client network environments.

Position Summary

The Network Administrator will be responsible for managing and supporting network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs, servers, and connected devices. This role will work directly with clients, technicians, vendors, and internal staff to resolve issues, perform installations, and maintain reliable network performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and other network equipment
• Monitor network performance, availability, and connectivity
• Troubleshoot network outages, slow connections, VPN issues, and hardware problems
• Configure and maintain LAN, WAN, VLAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN environments
• Manage IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and related network services
• Perform firewall configuration and security policy updates
• Support network upgrades, equipment replacements, and new site installations
• Assist with server, workstation, printer, VoIP, and other connected-device issues
• Perform firmware updates, patches, and routine network maintenance
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, credentials, and configuration records
• Configure and support remote-access solutions
• Assist with cybersecurity best practices and network-security monitoring
• Work with internet service providers and third-party vendors when troubleshooting connectivity issues
• Respond to client service tickets and escalate complex problems when necessary
• Provide onsite and remote technical support
• Help plan network improvements based on client growth and business needs
• Participate in IT deployment and infrastructure projects
• Maintain professional communication with clients throughout service requests

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in network administration, IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewalls
• Experience troubleshooting wired and wireless networks
• Familiarity with Windows environments and Microsoft 365
• Experience configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical clients
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client locations as needed

• Network monitoring and remote-management platforms

Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Fortinet, Microsoft, or similar certifications are also a plus but are not required.
