Network Administrator

Impetus Systems is on the lookout for a Network Administrator.

As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth and efficient operations of systems, networks, hardware, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• MikroTik Router Management: Configure and manage MikroTik routers using WinBox and CLI, including routing, firewall rules, NAT, VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, routing policies, and bandwidth management.
• Cisco L2/L3 Switch Configuration: Perform advanced CLI configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches, including VLANs, access and trunk ports, inter-VLAN routing, SVI configuration, and Layer 3 routing.
• Network Security: Implement and maintain firewall policies, access control lists, secure management access, SSH, network access restrictions, and appropriate security controls.
• Network Implementation & Maintenance: and execute network deployments, migrations, configuration changes, firmware upgrades, and preventive maintenance with minimal business disruption.
• Documentation & Backup: Maintain accurate network topology diagrams, IP addressing plans, VLAN details, configuration backups, and standard operating procedures.
• Technical Coordination: Coordinate with ISPs, vendors, and internal IT teams to resolve escalated network and connectivity issues.
• Hands-on experience configuring and managing Ubiquiti UniFi Access Points and the UniFi Network Controller.
• Practical knowledge of wireless standards, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands, channel planning, roaming, RF interference, and coverage optimization.
• Strong understanding of SSID-to-VLAN mapping and integration with Cisco L2/L3 switches and MikroTik routers.
• System Setup & Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain software, hardware, user accounts, and workstations.
• IT Support: Provide timely technical support to employees and assist in resolving day-to-day IT-related issues.
