Network Administrator

TruAdvantage is seeking a skilled Network Administrator to maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure to support reliable and secure IT operations. The ideal candidate has experience managing network devices, diagnosing connectivity issues, and implementing network security practices.

In this role, you will help maintain network availability, configure network equipment, monitor performance, and resolve technical issues. You will also collaborate with IT support and systems administration teams to improve network reliability and protect organizational resources.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and connectivity.
• Troubleshoot network outages, slow connections, and other technical issues.
• Manage network configurations, access controls, and routine maintenance.
• Support LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity.
• Review network logs and alerts to identify potential problems.
• Apply firmware updates, security patches, and configuration changes.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, equipment inventories, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve escalated support incidents.
• Assist with network upgrades, capacity planning, and disaster recovery procedures.

Requirements

• Experience in network administration, network support, or a related IT role.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
• Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networking.
• Knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Understanding of network security principles and access management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to network incidents effectively.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, or comparable networking equipment.
• Familiarity with VPN configuration and secure remote access.
• Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid IT environments.
• Experience with network monitoring platforms and log analysis.
• Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA.
• Familiarity with managed IT services and customer support environments.
