Network Administrator

About the Role

TAG Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Administrator to help maintain, monitor, and secure network infrastructure. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of networking technologies, enjoys troubleshooting connectivity issues, and can support reliable access to business systems and applications.

In this role, you will configure network devices, monitor network performance, investigate technical incidents, and help maintain a secure and dependable IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.
• Monitor network availability, performance, and connectivity.
• Troubleshoot network outages, slow connections, and access issues.
• Configure and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and related network services.
• Manage IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and network access controls.
• Review network logs and investigate connectivity or security alerts.
• Apply firmware updates, security patches, and approved configuration changes.
• Assist with network upgrades, equipment replacements, and infrastructure projects.
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration records, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with systems administrators, help desk technicians, and other IT professionals.
• Support network backup and recovery procedures where applicable.
• Follow established cybersecurity policies and access management practices.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and switching fundamentals.
• Familiarity with LAN, WAN, wireless networking, and VPN technologies.
• Understanding of DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience configuring or supporting network equipment and monitoring tools.
• Basic knowledge of firewalls, network security, and access controls.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to prioritize incidents and collaborate with technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience in network administration or network support.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Fortinet, or comparable networking technologies.
• Knowledge of network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Understanding of cloud networking and hybrid IT environments.
• CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or other relevant certifications.
• Experience supporting business-critical networks and infrastructure upgrades.

Compensation and Benefits

• Suggested annual salary: $70,000–$95,000, subject to employer confirmation.
• Final compensation may vary based on experience, certifications, technical expertise, and job responsibilities.
