Network & Integration Engineer

Role summary

You connect Azure to the client's on-premises network and to every third party the hospital system talks to. You build the network, make the tunnels resilient, and prove each integration works before cutover. This is the role most exposed to external coordination, so clear communication matters as much as technical depth.

Key responsibilities

• Build hub-and-spoke VNets, Azure Firewall, routing and NSGs
• Configure site-to-site IPsec tunnels (dual ISP, with failover) and point-to-site VPN
• Produce exact on-premises firewall and VPN settings for the client's network team, and run joint tunnel tests (on-prem changes are made by the client)
• Establish and test connectivity for PACS/DICOM, lab systems, NPHIES, RCM, ERP and ZATCA
• Coordinate partner IP allowlisting for the new Azure addresses and chase partners for test access
• Contribute to the cutover night: integration switch-over and smoke tests

Must-have

• 5+ years in enterprise networking with 3+ years on Azure networking
• Hands-on with IPsec site-to-site VPN, BGP or static routing, and failover design
• Azure Firewall, NSGs, UDRs, Private Endpoints and DNS resolution in hybrid setups
• Comfortable troubleshooting with packet captures and firewall logs
• Experience working with the client's third-party firewall vendors (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco or similar)
• Ability to document and explain network changes clearly to non-Azure network teams
• AZ-700 or CCNP-level knowledge (or equivalent experience)

Good to have

• Healthcare integrations: DICOM/PACS, HL7, lab interfaces
• Familiarity with Saudi integrations such as NPHIES and ZATCA e-invoicing
• Experience with partner allowlisting and VPN-based B2B connectivity

What independence looks like

You can take a network diagram, build it, give the client a precise settings sheet, and get dual-ISP tunnels passing a failover test with minimal back-and-forth.
