Network & IT Support Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Network & IT Support Engineer to manage and support our network, server, and security infrastructure across the office and project sites. The ideal candidate is hands-on, a strong troubleshooter, and willing to work at remote locations when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot FortiGate Firewalls (policies, NAT, UTM, web filtering, logs).

• Configure and troubleshoot IPsec Site-to-Site VPNs.

• Troubleshoot VPN connectivity, routing, and network access issues.

• Manage LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, DHCP, DNS, and routing (static and dynamic).

• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.

• Set up and manage Wi-Fi networks and access points.

• Perform Linux server administration, including SSH, users, permissions, services, and troubleshooting.

• Provide basic support for Windows Server and Active Directory where required.

• Monitor and troubleshoot CCTV, NVR/DVR, and IP camera systems (installation, remote access, storage, and configuration).

• Provide technical support for network, server, hardware, printer, and connectivity issues.

• Assist the Software Development Team with server access, application deployment, connectivity, and infrastructure-related tasks.

• Perform system monitoring, regular backups, updates, patching, and basic security hardening.

• Monitor bandwidth, uptime, and network performance, and resolve issues proactively.

• Maintain network diagrams, IP records, and server documentation.

• Handle IT support and troubleshooting at office and project locations.

• Manage IT inventory and coordinate with vendors and ISPs when needed.

• Willing to stay at remote sites when required and travel to different sites for IT support and deployment work.

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant hands-on IT/Networking experience

• CCNA certification (Mandatory)

• Practical FortiGate Firewall configuration and troubleshooting experience

• Practical IPsec VPN configuration and troubleshooting experience

• CCTV/NVR/DVR and IP camera knowledge

• Linux and server administration experience

• Strong LAN/WAN and networking knowledge

• Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and servers

• Willingness to work on-site and at remote/project locations

• Good troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills (Plus Points)

• Fortinet NSE certification (NSE 4 or above)

• Knowledge of SSL VPN, SD-WAN, and High Availability (HA) on FortiGate

• Experience with Hikvision, Dahua, or similar CCTV brands

• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Zabbix, PRTG, or similar

• Basic knowledge of Docker, Nginx/Apache, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)

• Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy

• Experience with Linux certifications such as RHCSA or Linux+
