Network & Security Engineer

Responsibilities

Core Network Operations

• Infrastructure Management: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise hybrid cloud network infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.

• Hardware & Systems: Manage routers, switches, enterprise Wi-Fi systems (e.g., Aruba AC), SD-WAN, and remote access VPNs.

• Performance Optimization: Oversee routing protocols, VLANs, capacity planning, latency monitoring, and high-availability design.

• Maintenance & Uptime: Perform routine firmware upgrades, patches, and hardware maintenance to ensure maximum operational uptime.

Security Controls & Compliance

• Firewall & Policy Administration: Configure and maintain next-generation firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks), Proxy, ZTNA, and NAC solution policies.

• Threat Monitoring: Monitor network security telemetry via SIEM and IDS/IPS to detect and mitigate potential threats.

• Remediation & Integration: Assist with endpoint protection integrations, Privileged Access Management (PAM), and routine vulnerability scanning remediation.

• Incident Support: Enforce network access policies and support security event investigations.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in network and security engineering.

• Certifications: CCNA is required; CCNP or equivalent vendor accreditation is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills

• Vendor Technologies: Cisco, Palo Alto Networks (PA), Fortinet, Aruba AC.

• Network & Security Architecture: Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, VPNs.

• Security & Access Technologies: SIEM, IDS/IPS, ZTNA, PAM, NAC, Web Proxies, Endpoint Protection, Vulnerability Scanners.
