Network and Telephony Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Network & Telephony Engineer to join a well-established organisation with a complex, multi-site technology environment.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled engineering team, supporting critical network infrastructure while contributing to a strong pipeline of upcoming technology and infrastructure projects.

The environment is diverse, combining enterprise networking, security, wireless, telephony and cloud technologies. The role offers a good balance of hands-on engineering, operational support and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain and optimise enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites.
• Support LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall and telephony environments.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, undertake root cause analysis and act as a senior escalation point.
• Manage network security, including firewalls, access controls and network segmentation.
• Work closely with other engineers on network upgrades, improvements and future infrastructure projects.
• Monitor network performance, reliability and availability.
• Maintain network documentation, configurations and operational standards.

About You

We are particularly interested in engineers who have worked in large, complex, multi-site environments and understand the challenges of managing enterprise network infrastructure.

Ideally, you will bring:

• 5+ years' experience in network engineering or network operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of enterprise LAN/WAN, routing, switching and wireless networks.
• Experience managing firewalls, network security and segmentation.
• Exposure to telephony solutions, ideally Microsoft Teams Telephony.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to engineering.

Technology background: The current environment includes HPE Aruba and Palo Alto, however, we are not wedded to these technologies . We are equally interested in engineers with experience across other enterprise networking and security platforms.

What matters most is your experience operating within complex, large-scale environments, your technical fundamentals and your ability to contribute to a strong engineering team.
