Network Applications Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Network Applications Engineer with hands-on experience in Riverbed Steelhead and WAN optimization technologies. The role will focus on managing network performance, application acceleration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support across LAN, WAN, and data center environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and manage Riverbed Steelhead appliances and WAN optimization solutions
• Manage and support RIOS and RS WAN Optimizer technologies
• Support complex Cisco routing and switching environments
• Optimize application performance and network connectivity across LAN, WAN, and data center environments
• Troubleshoot network and application performance issues
• Monitor network health and performance using tools such as SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, and The Dude
• Identify and troubleshoot network bottlenecks, connectivity issues, and service outages
• Proactively monitor infrastructure to prevent potential performance and availability issues
• Manage network-related incidents, problems, and changes using ServiceNow
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis for recurring incidents and service disruptions

About you

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Network Engineering, Network Operations, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with Riverbed Steelhead
• Strong knowledge of RIOS
• Experience with RS WAN Optimizer
• Experience with WAN Optimization and Application Acceleration
• Good knowledge of network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and Data Center environments
• Experience with Cisco routing and switching
• Experience with network monitoring and performance tools
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management platforms
