Job Title: Network Architect (IT/OT)

Rate: £450-550/day (INSIDE IR35)

Contract Length: 2 Year Project (6 monthly rolling)

Location: Remote with very limited travel to site throughout

Network Architect (IT/OT) - Role & Responsibilities

• Define network architecture and connectivity standards for a multi-site enterprise environment, supporting both corporate IT and operational technology.
• Design secure network layouts covering site connectivity, routing, switching, firewalls and controlled access between different network zones.
• Establish resilient connectivity solutions that support operational continuity, availability and recovery across distributed locations.
• Work alongside infrastructure, cybersecurity and site engineering teams to ensure network designs meet technical, security and operational needs.
• Produce network designs, architecture documentation and implementation guidance to support consistent deployment across multiple sites.

Network Architect (IT/OT) - Required Experience

• Strong background in enterprise network architecture, with hands-on experience designing complex LAN/WAN environments and multi-site connectivity.
• In-depth understanding of network security, including firewall design, segmentation, secure remote access and separation of IT and OT environments.
• Experience designing resilient network infrastructures, including redundancy, high availability and reliable connectivity across distributed sites.
• Ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating operational requirements into secure, scalable network solutions.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, factory or other operational technology environments is advantageous, as is knowledge of SD-WAN, industrial network security and network zoning.
