Position Title: Networking Test Automation Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Networking Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking protocols, Python-based automation for enterprise networking solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in validating switching, routing, high availability, and security features in complex networking environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for networking products and solutions.
• Validate Layer 2 / Layer 3 features in enterprise switching and routing environments.
• Build scalable Python automation frameworks for functional, regression,and system testing.
• Perform end-to-end testing for advanced networking features such as redundancy,virtualization, routing, and security.
• Configure and execute traffic validation using tools like Ixia or Spirent.
• Analyze logs, troubleshoot issues, reproduce defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
• Participate in test planning, feature reviews, defect triaging, and release validation.
• Ensure test coverage, quality metrics, and automation efficiency improvements.
• AI Copilot experience

Mandatory Technical Skills:

Networking L2 / L3 Protocols

Strong hands-on experience in the following is mandatory:

Layer 2 Features

• VLAN
• STP / RSTP / MSTP
• LACP / Port Channel
• LLDP
• MAC Learning / Forwarding
• Jumbo Frames

Layer 3 Features

• Static Routing
• OSPF
• BGP
• VRRP / High Availability
• DHCP Relay
• ACL

Test Automation

• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Automation experience with Selenium.
• Experience in test automation frameworks such as PyTest / Robot / Custom Frameworks
• API automation and CLI automation
• Log parsing and validation scripts

Traffic Generators

Hands-on experience with at least one:

• Ixia
• Spirent

Good To Have:

• Kubernetes
• Grafana

Soft Skills

• Strong debugging and analytical skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills
