We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Cabling/Audio Video Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex telecommunications and audiovisual systems across various client sites. Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems including Ethernet, Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling in commercial and industrial settings.
• Set up and test telecommunications equipment such as Cisco routers, Juniper devices, Avaya systems, VoIP phones, and telecommunication systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform fiber splicing and fiber optic system installation to support high-speed data transmission requirements.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute installation tasks.
• Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, network testers, RF testers, and telecommunications testing equipment to identify issues and verify system integrity.
• Conduct equipment troubleshooting and repair for network hardware, computer hardware, AV components, and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Assist with the installation of audio/video systems including cable termination for communication systems like AV setups or security CCTV networks.
• Follow NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes during all electrical wiring activities.
• Collaborate with clients to ensure customer service excellence by providing clear communication and technical support throughout projects.
• Maintain detailed documentation of installations, testing results, and service reports to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a service technician or installer in network cabling, audio/video installation or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, Ethernet protocols, TCP/IP configurations, and Cisco routers.
• Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, fiber optic systems installation, and telecommunications testing equipment.
• Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams for structured cabling projects.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, network testers, RF testers, and other troubleshooting equipment.
• Ability to work safely with low-voltage electrical wiring as well as AC/DC electrical systems following NEC standards.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools necessary for cable installation and equipment setup.
• Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving in field service environments.
• Knowledge of telephony systems including VoIP solutions like Avaya or similar platforms is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
